Bella's Birthday Dress

Last 30th September was Bella's first birthday. We were so excited she'd turning one! I make this simple 'princess' dress for her to wear on her birthday party.

Simple bodice, sleeveless, fully lined with long flowy skirt. I use black & white print fabric for the bodice and soft shimmering organza for the skirt. White satin for the lining, with the shiny soft side touching the skin. Two meters long of purchased pink satin ribbon as the sash, which i hand-slipstitched it to the front waistline of the dress. I use the big black button as the back closure. I dont use any pattern, just a simple self-drafted bodice.

It actually didn't turn out exactly like how i envisioned. But i'm still quite pleased with it. With just a very short amount of time, i managed to make something, hopefully memorable, for her birthday memories. Look how big she has been. It was just like yesterday i was in the labour room. She grew up so fast!

The party turned out very well too. Bella received a lots of love from all the families & friends.We are very thankful.
